Earthworks For Humanity Presents:
“Thunder In The Desert”
A Day for Healing of the Land, Cleaning the Air,
and Bringing the Rain to Phoenix
Sunday, April 2, 2006
10 AM 3 PM
Sacred Ceremony Led By Adam “Yellowbird” De Armon and Friends
ASU-West campus
4701 W. Thunderbird Rd., Glendale, AZ (Soccer field)
Are you concerned about the rapidly deteriorating air quality and severe drought conditions in the Valley of the Sun and the Southwest? Are you ready to help make a difference?
When the People come together with positive and loving intent, our unified vibrations have the power to heal and uplift the land, the climate and each other. This has been verified in many documented research studies.
Some Facts:
- The amount of runoff (rain and snow coming into the southern Arizona reservoir system) over the last year was only at 26% of normal levels.
- The American Lung Association gave Maricopa County, AZ the lowest possible (failing) score for ozone and particulate levels in the air in 2005.
- Over 2.6 million Valley residents (79% of the total population) are now at high risk for respiratory conditions due to poor air quality. These conditions include asthma, bronchitis, diabetes and cardiovascular disease.
How We Can Help:
It has been well documented that many conditions can improve when groups of people pray or meditate together. This is a universal truth that embraces all religions and beliefs.
For examples:
When 4000 people participated in a long-term meditation project in Washington, DC. In 1993, the rate of violent crime reduced between 24 - 48%.
Lake Biwa is the largest lake in Japan. It had become highly polluted over the 1980s 1990s, and was covered every summer with a putrefying species of foreign algae with a terrible smell. The government had to spray toxic chemicals each summer to kill the smell. In 1999, 300 people chanted and prayed on the shores of the lake, sending their positive vibrations into the water. During that summer of 1999 the algae levels were the lowest in 20 years, and with almost no complaints about the bad smell.

Earth Works for Humanity Presents
|
Earth Works for Humanity presents the premiere of the film “The White Road” by Elke von Linde and Michael Springer. This film is about freedom and crossing borders. It is a memory of the “5th Elder Reunion of America” that was held in Merida Yucatan, in Mexico, at Spring Equinox 2002. This was the first time that other cultures were invited to the traditional reunion of elders and had the opportunity to participate in the ceremonies with priests and shamans of the Americas. “The White Road” was created for eyes and ears open for the messages of respect and awareness. “This is the time to share sacred Indigenous wisdom, prophecies and old traditional knowledge to help mankind survive,” our elders are saying.
Join us for an extraordinary evening at the Sedona Library on February 4, 2006 from 7:30pm- 9:30pm. Social gathering beginning at 7:00pm in preparation of opening ceremonies. Representatives from South America and North America will be present to speak more in depth of the Indigenous prophesies.
Cost for admission is $5 per person. Proceeds go to the Institute for Cultural Awareness non-profit organization providing a safe and healthy environment for cultural exchange and healing. For more information contact ICA at 928-852-0112
